SEACF Sport Climbing Level 3

This course introduces the techniques of climbing bolted multi-pitch routes safely, this course will be running at outdoor natural rocks at Batu Caves where participants get to experience the real rock climbing environment and SEACF level 3 certificate will be issued to participants meet the passing assessment.


Requirement:
- At least 16 years old
- Must have a certificate of SEACF Sport Climbing Level 2, this course builds on the basic skills learned in these courses, hence, the trainees should be familiar and confident with these basic skills before undertaking this course
- Comfortably lead climbing indoor or outdoor on grade 6a
- Personal climbing equipment (harness, helmet, climbing shoe, ATC belay device set, PAS)

*** if you don't have Level 2 Certificate but with experiences climbing indoor or outdoors for years, share with us your experience and we'll check if possible to do this course

Passing Standards
Trainee must demonstrate the following course requirements:
1. Setup anchor system for multi-pitch climb
2. Belaying a climber using both direct & indirect belay system
3. Lead climb changeover to abseil with backup
4. Ascending on ropes
5. Conduct proper pre-climb checks
6. Correct use of climbing calls
7. Safety equipment handling

Award: SEACF Sport Climbing Level 3 Certificate

Duration: 7hrs/day for 2 days

• Include SEACF certified instructor (certificate no-0152), instructor profile can refer here

• SEACF Certificate Level 3 for those passed the assessment.

• Shared ropes, quickdraws, carabiners, anchor slings, ATC belay device and Helmet
