SEACF Sport Climbing Level 1

The purpose of this course is to give participants an enjoyable, safe and informative introduction to sport climbing. The course is designed for people with no prior knowledge of sport climbing. Participants will be introduced to: equipment, climbing techniques, checking procedures, belaying for top-roping and climbing calls.

*** This course will be running at outdoor natural rocks at Batu Caves where participants get to experience the real rock climbing environment and SEACF level 1 certificate will be issued to participants meet the passing requirements.

Requirement:
- In good health condition
- Min 13 years old

Passing Standards
Trainee must demonstrate the following course requirements:
1. Correct harness usage
2. Correct tie-in technique using figure-of-8 knot
3. Correct belay technique using a friction device
4. Correct use of climbing calls
5. Perform pre-climb checks

Award: SEACF Sport Climbing Level 1 Certificate
Venue: Batu Cave
Time: 830am - 3:30pm ( if rain in the middle of session, continue the next day)
Group size: min 2 to 16, if you are alone we can add you into existing confirmed group

Course Fees: RM239

  • Include SEACF certified instructor

  • Crag entry and toilet access

  • All climbing equipment, harness, helmet, rock climbing shoe, ropes, belay devices.

  • SEACF Certificate for those passed the assessments.
