SEACF Sport Climbing Level 2

This course is designed as a follow on from the Sport Climbing Course Level 1. This course builds on the top-rope skills acquired from Level One and teaches a progression into lead climbing on climbing walls. Participants on this course should be confident in all the techniques covered at Level One before undertaking this more advanced level course.

*** This course will be running at outdoor natural rocks at Batu Caves where participants get to experience the real rock climbing environment and SEACF level 2 certificate will be issued to participants meet the passing assessment.


Requirement:
- In good health condition
- SEACF Sport Climbing Level 1 Certificate
- Comfortably climbing top-rope indoor or outdoor on grade 6a
- Personal climbing equipment (rental available upon request)

  • Harness

  • Helmet (will be provided if not available)

  • Climbing shoe

  • Belay device (ATC belay device + Locking Carabiner) - (will be provided if not available)

  • PAS - Personal Anchor System (will be provided if not available)

*** if you don't have Level 1 cert but with experiences climbing indoor or outdoors for years, you just require to undertake the assessment for Level 1 requirements, once you passed the test then you will be certified Level 1 and allow to proceed to Level 2. kindly talk to find out more details about it.

Passing Standards:
Trainee must demonstrate the following course requirements:
1. Confident with lead climbing on an easy route
2. Correct placement of protection points on a lead climb
3. Correct belaying of a lead climber using a friction device
4. Correct top-out technique on fixed anchor
5. Conduct proper pre-climb checks
6. Correct use of climbing calls
7. Safe equipment handling

Award: SEACF Sport Climbing Level 2 Certificate
Venue: Batu Cave
Duration: 7hrs/day for 2 days
Group size: 2 to 8

Course Fees: RM349

  • Include SEACF certified instructor

  • Shared climbing equipment (Ropes and Quickdraws)

  • SEACF Certificate Level 2 for those passed the assessment.
